First Lines of 2012

by in Bloggers, Entertainment, Fashion, Movies, Schmoopy

The lovely Carol from If By Yes had some fun with this meme yesterday on her blog, so I thought I’d give it a whirl. I don’t look back at previous posts too often, so this should be a good learning experience for me. Strap on the time travel gear, kids, and we’ll head back through 2012 to take a look at the first line of the first post I did each month:

Schmoopy New Year!

[Sidebar: Okay, this was actually the title of the post, because there were no words in the post. Also, I swear this is a different picture of Schmoops in that tiara than the one on my post yesterday. So, already this exercise has been useful to me. Now I know enough to see if I've used the same subject/prop from one year to the next. Learn and grow, lady. Learn and grow.]

Those of us who have been spending the better part of the recent warmish/coldish/hotter than Hades months assembled on the sidelines alternately shivering or sweating as we watch young soccer stars form a human clump to collectively chase a soccer ball around a field probably have learned a thing or two about bonding with the other parents.

I went to retrieve our swimwear from the line yesterday, and I noticed something odd near the waistband of mah mommy swim skirt:

One of my biggest time wasters hobbies is perusing home listings online.

October 10, 2012

My, how the weeds have grown here.

[Sidebar: Not even a pic. this month. Weeds AND no pics. I didn't even post a picture of weeds. Really? Step it up, Wombat.]

November 13, 2012

Okay, so it isn’t a movie, but it’s great television.

Where in the world is Wombat Central?

That’s it for the first lines of each month’s first post in 2012–thanks for joining me for the stroll down “we’ve already been there and didn’t really want to go back” lane. I’ve learned a couple things: I did a lot of Movie Monday entries. Also: Need more photos! Need more posts!
