Mister Man turns 10 this month. This is my guy who was obsessed with John Deere tractors when he was a wee lad. He’s the same guy who could tell you what kind of tractor someone was driving in a field or on a video (even mom learned way more about tractors than the average non-farming gal should know). He’s the tender heart who cried when daddy sold our first lawn tractor. Of course, we name all our vehicles, and the tractors are no exception. This may have made it more personal that his buddy Clyde was driving off into the sunset with some other guy.
Now that Mister Man is nearly an official tween, it’s time for him to showcase the mad driving skillz he gleaned from his time on his old battery-powered Jeep. He was a very careful driver on that–even when his baby sister rode shotgun.
This evening he got to sweep the cut grass solo for the first time (dad was nearby in case he needed help). Ride on, dude!

How cool that he got to ride the tractor solo! My boys would love that! Happy almost birthday, Mister Man!

Hee! We name all our vehicles, but I can’t say we ever named a vacuum!

Enjoy it now. I can see in a few short years, him not wanting to cut the grass, even with the riding lawn mower…….

Oh, I know the novelty will only last so long, but maybe when we start paying him to do it, the process will be exciting all over again!
From Zannah:
I love the protective gear. Are those goggles, too? Mowing the lawn is dangerous work!

Oh, yes, eyegear is a must. Safety first at the House of Wombat!
