I’m probably not the only fan who was cheering him on as Robert Downey, Jr. dragged himself out the downward spiral that plagued him in the late 90′s. I’m sure some predicted a tragic end, but he turned things around and enjoys continued success in Hollyweird. Yay for him and us!
I just wanted to showcase a couple of my RDJ faves today:

One of my all-time favorite RDJ movies (Do people call him RDJ? I’m really just being lazy, although I’d like to think maybe we’re on such good terms that he’s okay with my calling him RDJ.) is Hearts and Souls. It’s from the early 90′s, so I’m not sure if he’d hit his troubled streak yet, but it’s brilliantly acted and such a sweet story:
I loved him on Ally McBeal and didn’t know until witnessing it on that show that he can also carry a tune. I’m sharing my favorite song of his as well: Smile (embedding was disabled. Bastards!)

I love him in Iron Man, Iron Man 2, and The Avengers. It’s like he’s playing his hilarious, sarcastic self, and it’s SO much fun to watch.
