Movie Monday – 13 Going on 30

by in Movies

I was finishing up a project while I watched TV one night last week, and this movie came on. I think I might have to add it to the list of those films I have to watch every time it’s on. It’s such a sweet story, and I love both actors.

First off, Mark Ruffalo is adorable–particularly his character in this film. He’s the childhood guy friend who you never looked at as anything more than your dependable, sweet buddy. The guy with whom you’ll share your packet of Razzles. We see in this movie that not only is he just as sweet as an adult, but he’s also still Razzle worthy.

I think we can all agree that Jennifer Garner has the market cornered on dimply cuteness. She plays a school girl in an adult body so convincingly that it actually doubles the cuteness. As if that would even be possible, right? She totally does it anyway.

What are some of your “must-watch” movies?

  1. From Zannah:

Groundhog Day, Dirty Dancing, The Princess Bride. I don’t have cable anymore, but when I did, I’d watch any of these movies, anytime, no matter where in the story I came in.

I love the Thriller scene in 13 Going on 30, but then I’m a sucker for big dance routines.

I love the Thriller scene, because that used to be me in my living room. ;D I’ll also watch Dirty Dancing no matter what.

Different type of movie altogether but I just watched “Ides of March” with Ryan Gosling & George Clooney & enjoyed it. Who doesn’t love Ryan?
