My Dear Wombat buddies,
As you may have noticed, I have a new blog theme. I’d been wanting this space to look at bit more postcardy, and a friend helped me to make it so. I thought this was fab. That’s not to say there aren’t some elements I’d like to tinker with, but I’m not all that adept at theme tinkering, so there it is.
This brings us to the poll.

Since I’m generally a people pleaser, I’d like to know what you think of the new design. Not so much “Gee, purple really isn’t your color” or “You do realize horses and dogs can’t read, right?” More along the lines of one comment a reader left expressing her lack of love for the postcard format itself, forcing you to click on the title to read the full article (FYI–in Google reader, the full post appears).
Do you have a moment to share your thoughts? I’d sure appreciate it.

I don’t know anything about not being able to see the full post. I use my blogger blogroll and when I click on your posts they come up just fine.
I like the new header. I think it’s a good combination of your old (pet) photos and the blog theme of postcards. I also like that there aren’t any blinking ads, black backgrounds, or music players on your page. Those things tend to make me read quickly and get the hell outta dodge.

Don’t you love when the music is starts a few seconds after the page loads, and it scares the bejeebers out of you? And, unfortunately my eyes can’t handle the black backgrounds. I rarely visit those sites as a result.
I think the condensed post issue only occurs when you are using a bookmark to access the site and the home page on here only shows snippets of each article. It’s meant to look like a bunch of postcards. Thanks for your two cents, lady!

I don’t use reader, so not a biggie to me. I do NOT like those automatic signatures – happy I shared?
I do like the new look, though – very simple. That’s key for me, esp because I do a lot of phone reading.

I’ll admit that the first time I visited the new way, I was confused. BUT it didn’t take long to know that I had to click on the title to get the rest of the story.
So, I agree with with what everyone else has said AND I enjoy the cute pictures on header. It’s like the best of the best of your past headers!
